Dishwashers Installation Instructions

All electrical and plumbing work must be done by dishwasher repair personnel. Be sure that all applicable codes for electrical and plumbing connections are followed. All service expenses that occur as the result of improper installation are the responsibility of the installer and are not covered by the warranty.
Follow these instructions carefully. It is recommended dishwashers be installed by a dishwasher repair technician with experience with electrical and plumbing trades.
The following are some of the things that must be followed for the installation to be successful:
1. The enclosures for the sides and back must be done at the time of installation.
2. on dishwasher models with reversible door and service panels, the panels prior to the installation. Refer to the dishwasher manual for instructions.
3. The dishwasher cabinet enclosure must be of the correct height, and depth.
4. The rear wall must be free of obstructions.
5. The dishwasher cabinet enclosure must not be more than 10 waste a from water connection.

Step 1 Refer to determine the rough dimensions for the electrical, drain, and water supply.
Drain hose the drain hose must be at least 2 inches diameter to provide for adequate clearance. Do not leave drain hose behind or under the dishwasher. Be sure that drain hose is not kinked.
Dishwasher water and electrical supply Caution: Do not use a dishwasher hose of any type for the hot-water supply. The electrical and water pipe must enter the shaded area and run straight from the back of the dishwasher enclosure to the fill valve or the electrical junction box. Do not run across in front of the dishwasher pump and motor assembly. A dishwasher hot-water shutoff valve in the supply line is recommended. The electrical installation must be in accordance with the local codes and the National Electrical Code.
Grounding instructions the dishwasher must be connected to a grounded metal, permanent, wiring system, or an equipment-grounding connector must be run with the circuit conductors and connected to the equipment-grounding terminal, or lead of the appliance.

Step 2: Dishwasher position, align, and level the dishwasher
1. Remove the lower service dishwasher access panel, by removing the two lower front screws. Open the dishwasher door and remove the two screws securing the top of the service access panel.
2. Close the dishwasher door and remove the service access panel by pulling it straight forward.
3. Remove the four screws securing the dishwasher cabinet toe plate.
4. Adjust the leveling legs so that the top of the dishwasher is 4' inch below the countertop prior to moving the dishwasher into the enclosure.
5. Adjust the rear leveling legs to level the dishwasher from front to back.
6. Slide the dishwasher into the enclosure and make the final leveling adjustments, front to back and side to side. The top of the dishwasher door should be level and aligned to the countertop. Be sure that all four leveling legs against the floor.
7. Fasten the dishwasher brackets at the top front of the dishwasher the countertop using wood screws. If the brackets is beyond the counter, cut the excess off and smooth rough edges.
8. Open and close the dishwasher door. There should be no interference or noise during this operation. If there is a repeat the dishwasher leveling procedure.
9. Adjustment of the door springs may be necessary for operation of the door. The door should not slam closing and it should stay open with its own weight allowable for a door to move 2 inch from the full open.
